2019 Exam Details
The ASTACAP Exam will take place at Crossings Christian School on February 10th and 16th, 2019.
For our inaugural exam we are happy to announce that Catherine Reaves, Dr. Jonathan Ruck and Dr. Mark Neumann will serve as our adjudicators. Additional qualified examiners will be announced in the coming months as we determine the needs for the upcoming exam.
Priority Registration due by January 18, 2019!
Who should register for the ASTACAP exam?
We want to encourage both teacher and student to register for the exam. Students must have a teacher who belongs to ASTA in order to participate, students do not need to be a member of ASTA. Teachers who have students registered to take the exam are asked to volunteer time and/or talents in order to keep the exam running smoothly.
How long will you need to be present at the exam site?
We will ask teachers to select their preferred window of volunteer time and request they work between one to two hours on either day. Students need not stay all day for the exam, they should arrive early enough before their time to warm up and expect the exam to last as follows:
- 8 minutes for Foundation and Level 1
- 10 Minutes for Levels 2 and 3
- 15 minutes for Levels 4 and 5
- 17 minutes for Level 6
- 20 minutes for Level 7 and 8
- 25 minutes for Level 9
- 30 minutes for Level 10
